Valimail's Enforce product provides domain-based email authentication monitoring and analysis capabilities for your domain. In addition to the main domain, Enforce also supports monitoring subdomains. Here's how you can use a subdomain in Valimail Enforce:


1. Add the subdomain

  • To use a subdomain in Valimail Enforce, you need to first add it to your Valimail account. To do this, log in to your Valimail account and click on the "Domains" tab. From there, click on the organizational domain of your choosing and scroll to the bottom of that page. Once you get to the bottom of that page you can click on "Add Email Subdomain" to enter the subdomain name in that field.

2. Setting up the subdomain's DNS records

  • It is important that you configure DNS records and set up SPF and DKIM records for the subdomain after adding it to your Valimail account. Valimail provides you with detailed instructions on how to do so after clicking on the "Domains" tab.


3. Enhance email authentication

  • You can identify issues and take action to improve email authentication using Valimail Enforce's detailed insights into email authentication activity. You may need to adjust your SPF record if your subdomain has a low SPF pass rate. Additionally, if you notice a low DMARC enforcement rate, it may be best to adjust your DMARC policy to prevent unauthorized senders.


Using Valimail Enforce and adding a subdomain, you can monitor and analyze email authentication activity for a specific domain/subdomain.
